Mold Cleanup and Remediation Kit - Full Face and Body Protection
The Mold Cleanup and Remediation Kit includes products that protect you from harmful mold spores during mold cleanup in your house, apartment, or business. A full-face respirator keeps mold from getting into the eyes, nose, and mouth, while the protective full-body Tyvek suits and gloves keep skin and open cuts from being exposed. This kit meets or exceeds the recommendations of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and New York City Department of Health in their guidelines for mold remediation. Mold can cause a variety of negative health effects. It grows in areas with elevated moisture levels and is common in buildings affected by flooding. We also offer lead and asbestos removal kit that gives you everything you need to complete your home improvement projects.

The specialized respirator kit from Moldex includes a full-face mask to prevent the inhalation of airborne mold spores from getting to you. Because mold can release volatile organic compounds (known as VOCs) that are thought to be the source of odor in spaces with mold and mildew problems, the kit includes activated charcoal filters as well as a P100 HEPA filter. Particles in the air are trapped by the filter, and odors are absorbed by the charcoal.
*Note: Please fit test each user to ensure the respirator will work properly for full protection and reference OSHA regulations on respiratory protection (29 CFR 1910.134).
Tyvek TY122S HazMat Coverall Suit This disposable hazmat suit is used by professionals and do-it-yourselfers. It is ideal for mold treatment because it covers the head and ears and it stops dangerous particles down to one micron in size from getting to the skin. The attached hood and booties provide full-body protection.
MCR Safety Flex Tuff II Glove The safety gloves feature a latex palm and fingers that provide grip and protection while doing demolition of mold-infested buildings or other heavy-duty projects.
MCR Safety Unlined Nitrile Chemical Resistant Glove These gloves are excellent for cleanup in wet environments. They protect against many chemicals, and are snag and puncture resistant. These are the gloves we recommend using when you are wiping down and decontaminating.

What is the suit made of - is it non woven or PVC?
The suit is made of DuPont Tyvek, a non-woven ‘spun bonded’ polyethylene fabric. Very popular in the mold and asbestos remediation industry. It has exceptional barrier properties against very small particles, and some splash resistance against liquids.
How do I size the respirator?
Respirator sizing does not involve metrics, such as length, width, height or weight. There is no reference that insures choosing the correct size other than fit testing. That said, we can offer this guidance…
Small is for a petite woman, or other person who has noticeably small face. Smaller than average for sure.
Medium fits average faces, and should be appropriate for 75% or more of the adult population.
Large fits people who have noticeably large or long facial features.

Full face respirators are more forgiving on sizing than half face models, and they seal against smoother parts of your face. This makes your choice fairly easy.
How water resistant is this suit?1 answer
The suit isn't a liquid barrier, it will resist spray but you should avoid contact with water as liquids will soak through.
How breathable is the suit in hot, humid environments. What is the risk of heat stroke? Dehydration?1 answer

This Tyvek suit has material that is non-woven and made from flash spun, high density polyethylene. Which is essentially plastic and not breathable as it is made to keep out debris like mold and asbestos.

So, unfortunately it does get warm to hot while wearing this suit, and if you are wearing it in humid environments it would be ideal to take a break and hydrate ever so often.

Is the suit disposable, reuseable, if reuseable how to clean? If not best way to dispose of it?1 answer
The tyvek suit is disposable. We do not recommend cleaning it. It can be used several times before disposing.1 people found this answer helpful.
