Would this protect against hyperdermic needles?1 answer
The MCR 9687 Kevlar glove does provide cut protection, and with the latex coating on the palm, pretty good grip as well. However, the nature of woven type gloves, even those made with Kevlar, is that the needles go between the threads. So the glove will offer some minimal resistance to puncture on the face of the glove (palm area), but essentially none anywhere else.
A brand to take a look at is Hex Armor. Their models 9014 and 6044 are specifically made for needle stick protection. These are quite a bit more expensive, but are intended for this type of hazard. You will also find that they are somewhat stiffer on the hand. These are not on our site, but we can get you a quote.
