Draeger Air Current Tubes allow workers in industries such as mining to detect even the smallest air flows. This is important to their ability to evaluate and control the possible diffusion of dangerous substances. Air flow tubes release a white smoke created from sulfuric acid once the tube is opened. A small rubber ball is used to pump air through the tube, creating a small cloud which is carried by any existing air flows.

If the test is completed before the white smoke finishes coming from the tube, the tube can be re-sealed with the provided rubber cap.

Draeger is a leader in gas detection and confined space worker safety.

Box of ten.

Key Features:

This part number is only for the tubes and does not include the bulb aspirator.<br>
The bulb is part number 4054382 and can be ordered through customer service at 1-800-829-9580. Current cost is $12.40.

I checked with Draeger technical support about disposing of the CH25301 air current tubes. They said that in small quantities, which they felt was less than a hundred boxes, that standard trash disposal was adequate.

2 years is the shelf life. The expiration dates are stamped on the outside of the tube boxes upon shipping, The only exception is the Natural Gas Test which is part number CH20001. It has a one year shelf life.
