Dry Eye Syndrome
Most Wiley X glasses and goggles come with what they call a Facial Cavity Seal. This seal eliminates excessive air movement around your eyes which effectively prevents eye irritation caused by dehydration, as well as protecting from dust, pollen, insects and other airborne hazards. Wiley X has tested this series in some very harsh environments around the world to make sure that your eyes are safe at all costs. These special designs also help reduce tear evaporation which is caused by those that wear contacts which can cause Dry Eye Syndrome.
Dry Eye Syndrome is also known as Keratoconjunctivitis Sicca (KCS). KCS is very common in human eyes but also can be found in animals such as cats and dogs. Keratoconjunctivitis Sicca occurs when defects form in the protective saltwater solution covering the eye. This solution is what keeps your eyes moist and comfortable while also supplying nutrients. It is responsible for flushing out dust, debris and other foreign objects that might make their way into your eyes. With the Facial Cavity Seal in place you are being protected from Dry Eye Syndrome.
