The Corrugated version, Wearwell 702, is the traditional product, while the newer Diamond Plate (701 and 712) has an easier to clean surface that has been popular. Full 75 foot rolls are available, but most of our customers order cut lengths to put in front of specific pieces of high voltage equipment. Also, many electrical maintenance workers and electrical contractors carry pieces of non-conductive matting with them as they move from one electrical panel to another. There is a savings with full rolls, and you can cut your own pieces.
These mats conform to 2 main industry standards:
ASTM D178-01 specifications (for part No. 701 and 702)
Military specification 15562F (for part No. 711 and 712)
Testing confirms the high dielectric strength of these mats. However, to provide a large margin of safety, the recommended voltage exposure is much lower than the test voltage. This type of mat is quite distinct from other ant-fatigue and ergonomic mats that we may offer. These switchboard mats are voltage rated and are counted on to save lives.
