Pyramex HGB Ratchet Face Shield Headgear

The Pyramex HGB ratchet headgear is constructed from durable nylon. Universal pegs will accommodate a wide variety of faceshields. Ratchet style adjustment means you just dial the knob on the back of the headgear for an easy fit. Pivoting action allows user to lift faceshield up and out of the way while wearing, allowing a closer look at the workpiece. Both the Willson M86 and Pyramex S-1010 clear face shields fit this headgear.

Please note that safety glasses must be worn, since a face shield is not considered primary eye protection. The reason for this is that flying bits can get around the edges of the shield and injure your eye. The benefit of wearing a face shield is to stop particles from smacking you in the face. This may be from using a polishing wheel or grinder. There is however a limit to what the shield will stop, so please use care when working around power tools. Tremendous forces can be built up around grinding wheels and the like.
