3M Pesticide & Paint Respirator - 3M 6000

We offer the 3M 6000 series half mask as an assembly with a filter/cartridge combination for pesticides and paint spray. You get a complete mask, with all the parts needed to get right to work. For paint, we are thinking oil based primarily, but the odor and mist from latex paints are taken care of as well. For pesticides, just about any commercially available type that is intended for the home consumer audience will be covered. Professional exterminators may want to check more closely, as they have access to a wider variety of toxic stuff.

Useful against most common pesticides and herbicides. Oil and water based paints, though not for urethane based products. Please note that urethane based coatings may contain isocyanates, which are not effectively removed by organic vapor (charcoal) cartridges.

Also recommended for Diacetyl. This is a flavor additive used in the production of 'buttered' microwave popcorn. Interesting, but this is a rather potent respiratory hazard, and requires the use of organic vapor cartridges and a dust/mist prefilter.

The 3M 7500 Paint and Pesticide Respirator offers the same protection and enhanced comfort for a somewhat higher price.
