The MCR Safety Ninja Ice FC HTP Glove is a fully coated glove with a double layer lining. A 7 gauge brushed polyester micro terry cloth lines the inside, while the 15 gauge nylon outer shell is fully dipped with the proprietary HPT (Hydropellant Technology) coating on the outside. The HPT from MCR Safety offers a rough, sandy finish PVC foam coating and liquid repellent technology that encapsulates air molecules to repel water. This assures a firm wet or dry grip while offering a cushioning effect to absorb vibration or impacts.
Having the fully coated shell offers additional resistance to wind chill when compared to the standard N9690 Ninja Ice glove. When wearing the fully coated version, there is a slight increased effort required to stretch the fabric over the knuckles to grip objects. However, this offers extra protection to the back of the hand from wind and inclement weather.
In keeping with the intended applications, the coating remains soft and flexible in temperatures as low as -50 C/-58 F. The glove is treated with Actifresh to kill bacteria and promote freshness. Each pair is held together with a hang tag. Recommended applications are cold storage, commercial fishing, construction/utilities and outdoor winter use. Comments from customers have included use for bicycle, motorcycle and snowmobile riding.
For extreme cold conditions, make sure to also take a look at the new Pyramex V2G-XP Hot/Cold Resistant Goggles.

Warm & Functional Review by Elmer
Got these gloves thinking fully coated would be warm and waterproof but don't get them to keep your hands dry. Cold wet steel is fine and they stay warm but probably need a different glove for working around water. (Posted on 1/26/2016)
Do the Job! Review by jani
I bought these for my brother and had to exchange for a larger size (with no hassel), but once my brother tried them out in winter weather ranging from -18 degrees to +22 degrees on the oil field he works at, he said they are great gloves and keep his hands warm while he works all day outside on the oil rigs. product is as described. just a bit tough to make a fist due to the backside being coated. fingers of the glove a bit too long so it's hard to pick up small items like screws when working in the garage
Good Grip, Dry, Durable, Warm

Best yet Review by Jim
Quite thick and really help when working in colder temps. Gloves run on the small size. Usually wear XL size bought these in XXL and still a little small until worn for a couple hours. Material not as tough as other gloves.
Warmest glove I have found when working in sub freezing weather.
Gloves are on the small size and material could be tougher

Thank you for your inquiry. These are sold by the pair.
Sizing is the same as non insulated gloves. Measure the distance around your knuckles and round up to the closest whole number (in inches) that number is the glove size you require.
The Ninja Ice gloves from MCR are not particularly chemical resistant. Part of their appeal is the grip and flexibility, which is an uncommon feature in insulated gloves. So, I would expect some mild tolerance to acids and caustics, but little to no resistance against solvents. Please tell us about your application and we will see if another glove might be an option.
