The ToxiRAE II Nitrogen Dioxide detector displays STEL, TWA and peak values, has easily replaced batteries, and can conserve those batteries by being able to turn on and off, unlike some detectors in this category. The ToxiRAE II is lightweight, small and gives a clear, loud signal when is a chemical that is very toxic to the health. If breathed in it can cause your smell to go away and then being over exposed can happen. Effects of exposure usually start showing a little bit after being exposed.

To prevent the exposure you should have a Nitrogen Dioxide ToxiRAE II on your persons while entering a space that may have this gas. It will detect and protect you at the same time. Just clip it onto your clothing or your hardhat.
