Moldex Lead Abatement Respirator - 2730 N100

This is one of the few "dust mask type" respirators that complies with all Lead Safe Certification recommendations by the EPA!

Rather than wearing a lead abatement half-face respirator, some folks prefer the convenience of a disposable product. The 2730N100 from Moldex has the '100' rating indicating it is the HEPA equivalent. This means it will filter out the smallest of particles. The HandyStrap feature pairs elastic fabric straps with a quick connect buckle that allows mask to hang around your neck when not in use.

The Ventex exhalation valve lets hot moist air out faster so you can breathe easier and use fewer masks. This also helps to keep your safety glasses clear of fog. A soft foam flange offers enhanced fit while it eliminates pressure points for added comfort.

The Dura-Mesh shell resists collapsing in heat and humidity, yet you can still fold up the mask and have it spring back into shape. Flame retardants are added to the shell to help decrease flammability. Softspun lining for increased comfort and durability. NIOSH certified to have a filter efficiency of 99.97% or greater against particulate aerosols free of oil.

Applications:

Approved for lead abatement, metal fumes produced from welding, certain radioactive particulate material and non-oil containing mists. Recent recommendations include Avian Flu from the CDC, though N95 masks are also recommended, and may be just as good and a whole lot cheaper. May also be considered for hantavirus; consult with your local health department first. No oils present.
