LAD-SAF flexible cable ladder safety systems from DBI/SALA are designed to provide protection against falling for persons connected to the system while climbing fixed ladders or similar climbing structures. This includes installations on fixed ladders or ladder-like climbing surfaces that are part of a structure. Examples include; water tank ladders, mono poles (wood, steel, or concrete), wind turbine energy towers, manways, antenna structures, and radio or cell towers.

The Lad-Saf system comes standard with 3/8 in. / 9.5mm diameter high strength 1 x 7 galvanized cable, part number 6110000. We can special order stainless steel 3/8 in. / 9.5mm 1 x 7 cable, part number 6120000. Also available is 3/8 in. / 9.5mm 7 x 19 pre-formed aircraft cable in both galvanized and stainless.

We are offering detachable cale sleeves from DBI/SALA and Protecta. In general, the DBI/SALA sleeves are stronger and more durable due to being made of forged hardware, while the Protecta items are made from stamped hardware. They both meet or exceed all applicable safety standards and have been proven in use over many years. That said, the DBI/SALA sleeves should last longer, while the Protecta sleeves are the economical choice.

The LAD-SAF systems are not intended to be installed on portable ladders. Also, the ladder structure to which the system is installed must be capable of withstanding the loads applied by the system in the event of a fall.
