| The full body harness is a basic piece of safety gear that has almost as many styles and variations as you can imagine. The job being done will dictate the attachment point details and maybe a preferred style. But even then, there are many ways to skin the cat. More about this below... | ||||||||||||

| When talking with customers about fall protection harnesses, we usually start with the application. What sort of job are we trying to do. Basic construction or tower climbing are going to get us to very different places. Another area to be sorted out is the level of quality (and comfort) you are willing to pay for. We group our harnesses in a Good-Better-Best relationship. All of the harnesses we sell meet or exceed the applicable safety and OSHA regulations. You should have no concerns about that. That said, there are differences. Good - Our economy level is the Protecta FIRST brand of compliance harnesses. As the description implies, these are good for those jobs where having a product that meets regulations but doesn't cost a lot. The sizing is usually universal (one size fits most), which simplifies stocking for the job site. Better - The DBI/SALA Delta brand of harnesses offer pretty much all the bells and whistles you could want. The 'delta' shaped back pad gives the harness shape and structure far surpassing standard webbing styles. Better hardware and sized models (e.g. medium, large etc.) add to the fit and comfort during use. Best - The DBI/SALA Exofit series of harnesses are our top of the line, and top sellers. This family of products includes the original Exofit, the Exofit XP and the new Exofit NEX. The features are more fully described on the Exofit harness page of our site, but we feel confident saying that these are the best harnesses on the market today. The details of the design and fit are simply superior. Usually all it takes is for a customer to try one on, and they're sold. We don't have to say a thing. |
