Hi! This is Rick Pedley, and welcome to PK Safety.
Today we're going to be looking at the ECKO brand K20 Blower and Duct Canister. So, this is our model K2025 and that means you get a K20 blower and some ducting and a canister -- in fact, we'll get to that in just a moment. This is a double wall construction polyethylene confined space ventilation blower and a ventilation blower like this is used if you have a manhole or a vent or something you're going into and you need to ventilate it, that is, replace the stale or bad air with better air.
This one's going to have about 800 cubic feet per minute in free air. When we add ducting, or a hose or curves and what not, it will cut that down. All of the specifications are on our site, so you can see that.
This has a nine-bladed cast precision-balanced fan, so it's quite efficient for its size. One third horse power motor. 115 volts. It comes with a 12 foot cord with a three-pronged connector on the end. The fan points, or pushes, in just one direction. Just wanted here to show you. We've got a switch at the front. This is a rubber-coated, grommeted thing. It's imported from China, and this class of product is not UL rated. That's pretty common at this stage…
And you put the ducting on this in two ways. The first way is this necked-down area. It's going to allow you to use a standard -- if you haven't already -- eight-inch diameter ducting. But the real trick part about this -- the thing we really like -- is that we have this duct canister. Let's pull this into the picture here. The duct canister (also double wall polyethylene) uses these bunnies. So this is going to allow this to hookup, right? An d then 25 feet of ducting is contained within this canister. So you can carry them separately or together. Together they're quite secure, and then when you're ready, you just pop the ducting out and you're ready to go. So we just shove this together, and bear in mind that this can go on either end, it doesn't matter. You can put it on this end if you're pushing, the other if you're pulling, whatever it might be.
So, we'll take this. We'll plug it in. And then I'll just scoot this over and pop this off and you'll see what I mean. The ducting inside just comes right out and then we flip the switch and we're ready to go.
It's just that easy! Hook those on, it's one big thing.
