Total Encapsulating NFPA 1991 (2000 Edition) Vapor Protective Reflector® suit. Front entry, expanded back, two exhaust valves, sock boots with splash guards. PVC faceshield with FEP overlay lens, Viton inner gloves with SilverShield/4H liners, Aluminized outer gloves; triple taped seams.

Fabric Description

Reflector® - A patented, heavy duty aluminized fabric laminated to a multiple film barrier. The first limited-use garment to combine both broad chemical holdout and flash fire protection in a single fabric layer. The aluminized outer layer also provides superior abrasion protection. Passes entire ASTM F1001 Chemical Test Battery with no breakthrough in eight hours.

Seam Type

Triple Taped - Seams are stitched with Nomex thread and covered with a heat sealed film-type seam tape. Seams are single taped on the outside and triple taped on the inside. Outside tape is Teflon, inner tape is a similar composition as the film used in the fabric. The seam tape is attached by heat sealing as with film-laminated materials.
