The Rebel 33 foot SRL (Self Retracting Lifeline), designed and built by Protecta from Capital Safety is a hardwearing, sturdy and lightweight piece of personal protective equipment. Designed to offer excellent fall protection the SRL steps up to solve several problems that arise with traditional lanyard use: The retracting nature of the lifeline reduces tripping or snagging, its ability to quickly stop a fall in a matter of inches reduces fall forces and protects your staff while working at heights.

You have a range configurations of the Rebel 33-foot Self-Retracting Lanyard, allowing you to get the perfect set up, whatever your line of work.

For the casing you can choose between corrosion resistant aluminum, an industrial option suitable for any work environment; or there is the thermoplastic casing option, which is dent proof, lightweight and features an in built carrying handle; a great option when portability is key. Both options protect the stainless steel inner workings of the Rebel 33', keeping it running smoothly for its whole lifespan.

The lifeline itself comes in two versions, the hard-wearing long lasting galvanized steel version which is great for the vast majority of work at heights sites or the tougher stainless steel cabling, which is perfect for highly corrosive environments (especially coastal or marine sites) where traditional cabling is more likely to fail.

The Rebel series of SRLs are built to be durable and convenient. A heavy load of up to 420 lbs can safely be held by the lanyard, allowing your workers the option of having their tools to hand and still be within the weight limit. An anchor point swivel bracket on the SRL itself and a spinning snap-hook make for a hassle free working environment, allowing employees to concentrate on the task at hand.

The Rebel 33' has an in built strain indicator (something standard in the Protecta range) to show if the SRL has had to restrain a fall which might have damaged the line, which in turn could compromise the integrity of the cabling. If this is visible then you should remove the SRL from active use, as its strength can no longer be guaranteed.
