Force2 Shock Absorbing Lanyard 1245006 from DBI/SALA
The Force2 is intended for use when there is no overhead anchorage, and your only option it to tie off at your feet. Because this means you will likely fall further than the recommended 6 feet, an extra amount of shock absorbing material is incorporated to keep the deceleration forces below 1800 lb. Additionally, the extra capacity allows this lanyard to be rated for heavier workers when the fall is restricted to 6 feet.
Constructed of 1" polyester webbing for durability and longevity, including resistance to UV fom sunlight. Easy to use self locking snap hooks are attached at both ends.
A soft cover is provided over the shock absorber pack for comfort. This lanyard is 6 ft. in length. Can be used for up to a 12 foot free fall and still limit the arresting forces below OSHA's limits. The user instruction manual, which explains this in greater detail, is available for download below.
Dual Capacity Rating: Up to 310 lbs capacity – can be used for a 12 foot free fall, 311 to 420 lb capacity – can be used for a six foot free fall. Meets or exceeds all industry standards for fall arrest forces including OSHA and the NEW stringent ANSI 2007 Z359 standard.
The DBI Force2 shock absorbing lanyard is the ONLY lanyard available on the market that can take a 12 foot free fall and still keep forces below OSHA's limits when tying off at your feet. Use the powerful Force2 shock absorbing lanyard when there is no overhead anchorage and your only option is to tie off at your feet - a situation often faced by iron workers. Because this creates a much greater free fall distance, standard shock absorbers will bottom out, putting dangerous forces on your body. It can also be used with a greater capacity lanyard is required for the worker.
