Confined Space Entry Contractor's Kit

Get all the confined space tools you need for OSHA compliance with the Contractors Confined Space Entry System. This kit includes a 4-gas monitor for confined space entry, an 8 ft. tripod, retrieval winch, confined space blower with ducting for ventilation, and a full-body harness.

QRAE II Confined Space Gas Monitor

The QRAE II is the latest compact personal gas detector from RAE Systems. This new model comes loaded with features aimed squarely at confined space entry. With the QRAE II in the Confined Space Entry Kit you get the model with an internal sample draw pump and rechargeable battery. The Additional Accessories are available and are shown below.

Protecta 8 ft. Confined Space Tripod AK105A
The AK105A combines ease of use with adjustable height at a very attractive price point. The unit weighs 39 lbs, and is only 65" overall in length once folded with the legs retracted.
Once the tripod legs are opened, they lock in position. Then the legs each have adjustable length that can be locked at 8 different heights by means of locking pins to account for uneven or out of level work surfaces. An adjustable length cable connects the leg-ends to control spreading under load and is integral to the strength of the device.
The tripod head is cast aluminum, and the legs are made of anodized aluminum rectangular tubing. Reflective safety tape is applied for added visibility on the street, while the feet have skid-resistant tread on the soles.
As a single anchorage point the tripod is rated at 5,000 lbs. Meets OSHA 1910 & ANSI Z359.1-1998 standards for confined-space entry devices.

Protecta Confined Space Winch AK205AG

The AK205AG comes with 50 feet of 3/16" cable. Other lengths are available, but this has been the most popular. The winch is man-rated, and meets or exceeds UL requirements for load capacity. It is available in a variety of lengths and utilizes galvanized or (optional) stainless steel 3/16" diameter cable. It features a detachable handle, oil impregnated bearings, a safety lock, and a corrosion-resistant finish. Winching speed is typically 20 fpm at a 4:1 ratio. The winch is man-rated at 310 lbs. It includes four disc brakes and is manufactured domestically.

The AK200 Series Winch is simple to operate in that to reverse direction, you just turn the handle in the opposite direction. No manipulation of components is required.

Protecta Snatch Block Pulley Assembly 8003205
This pulley assembly is designed to be used with leg mounted winches and is hung from one of the tripod eye bolts to route a primary or secondary winch cable. No tools are required for installation. Meets or exceeds OSHA and ANSI requirements.

Protecta Full-Body Harness AB17530
The Protecta AB17530 is a low cost alternative that complies with all fall protection standards. Popular with our contractor customers that need hard working protection that fits within a budget. This is made by Capital Safety, and is from their FIRST Compliance collection.

Allegro Ventilation Blower with 25 ft. of Ducting 9533-25
This 8” blower from Allegro can really move some air. The Allegro 9533-25 has a light-weight, easy to transport design and provides 25 ft. of ducting to move the good air in, and the disperse the noxious or stale air from your site. With a tools-free connection system, the Allegro 9533-25 is easy to switch from blowing the air out to sucking the air in. The Allegro 8 in. fan also has a built-in handle on the side of its extremely durable polyethylene shell.

We also offer an uprated version of the Confined Space Entry System. The upgraded kit is a great choice if you are planning to do confined space entry on a daily basis. It has higher quality components at a correspondingly higher price.
