Capital Safety Cabloc Ladder Safety Sleeve from Protecta

The Cabloc ladder safety sleeve from Protecta is for use on vertical cables attached to fixed ladders. This is an economical alternative to the DBI/SALA 6116540 Lad-Saf cable sleeve. The stamped steel hardware used in this design meets or exceeds all applicable safety standards, though is not as durable as the forged Lad-Saf hardware.

We offer the Cabloc sleeve in 2 sizes; 5/16" (8mm) and 3/8" (9.5mm). The cable should be a 1X7 or 7X19 solid core cable intended by the manufacturer for this purpose. Many European systems imported to the US are using the 5/16" diameter cable. Often this is in wind turbines.

This is an economy unit, so please note that when descending the ladder it is necessary to apply some pressure on the cable grip control arm. This allows the cable to move through the device. Without this action, the device will stay in place due to the design. The Cabloc sleeve comes with a self-locking carabiner, and weighs 1.5 lbs.
