The GasAlertMicro 5 Photo Ionization Detector (PID) is a portable multi-gas detector and alarm unit. Designed to warn against an array of potentially harmful or explosive gases this customizable unit is a lightweight solution to all your gas detection needs. Ideal for a range of work sites, this flexible sniffer is not solely useful for confined space workers.
This five-gas monitor is configurable with a range of sensors, letting you design your ideal unit; here we are offering a detector for VOCs, LEL, Oxygen, Hydrogen Sulfide and Carbon Monoxide.
It is the Photo Ionization Detector (PID) that enables broad-spectrum analysis of the atmosphere, letting the Gas Alert check for a range of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that could pose a threat. Arising from a wide range of substances on industrial sites, these VOCs might otherwise go undetected, posing a real risk to your team’s safety.
Three alerts modes are in place should dangerous levels be detected: audio (95dB alarm), visual (bright LED lights) and vibration alarms make sure that you get the message and can take appropriate action.
Compact and lightweight (only 13 oz.) the Gas Alert Five series is also incredibly hardy. Built to survive in industrial settings the gas monitor features an in-built concussion-proof boot, IP66/67 ratings for water protection, a protective cover for the sensors; and should you choose the active pump version, filters are in place to prevent dust/dirt or water entering the device.
This motorized pump model lets you check the atmosphere of a location before entering; this kit comes with a 1.5m sampling hose so you can safely assess potential hazards and take any and all precautions necessary.
Data logging capabilities are also available; here the unit comes complete with a memory card and Fleet Manager II software. This lets you retrieve logged data and events on all gas levels for analysis and archiving.
A large LCD screen makes checking gas levels simple, while a backlight option (actually, three of them) ensures you can see even in the darkest of spaces. A NiMH rechargeable battery powers all of this, and the unit comes complete with a docking station to recharge your batteries before a days work.
Self-testing sensors and electronics, auto-calibration serve to lower maintenance requirements and let you know should the unit no be working fully, so you focus on getting the job done.
