BW GasAlertMicro 5 Gas Monitor

A versatile multi-gas monitor from the experts at BW Technologies, the Micro 5 offers the standard range of confined space gas detection, all wrapped up in one tiny, portable, 13oz. device, which even has an optional active sampling pump.

Confined Space Sensors:

Oxygen (O2): Low O2 levels are hazardous, causing fatigue and will - -of course - -eventually lead to death.

Carbon Monoxide (CO): CO is poisonous, and being both colorless and odorless, it is highly dangers. On top of all that it’s produced by a whole load of industrial and household equipment, meaning that its detection should be routine.

Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S): Flammable and toxic, H2S causes respiratory failure and can be an irritant at low levels, too!

Lower Explosive Levels (LEL): A range of gases are sampled to assess the overall combustibility of the atmosphere, if dangerous levels are reached -- as with any of these gases -- an alert will sound.

Three different alarms are available: A loud sonic buzzed, bright warning light and vibration alert. These alarms sound for low/high and short/long term exposure levels.

Expandable sensor option:
The GasAlertMicro 5 can sample up to five gases, so if you need, there is always the option of choosing an extra sensor for the unit:

Sulfur Dioxide (SO2): An irritant at low levels, SO2 can lead to respiratory failure and lung problems with prolonged exposure.

Ammonia (NH3): Produced in a range of chemical processes, from a variety of sources, Ammonia is a dangerous gas. A severe irritant that can cause lung damage with prolonged exposure.

Chlorine (CL2): A greenish-yellow gas, CL2 is corrosive and can be deadly. Used industrially for water sterilization it is not uncommon either.

Benefits of the GasAlertMicro 5:
A durable detector: The Micro 5 is built with IP67 water proofing to protect the innards and sensors, as well as with a concussion proof boot to protect it from any falls.
The Mechanical pump option gives you the potential to sample remote or hard to reach areas before entry (as opposed to acting as a standard diffusion sensor). A 1.5m sampling hose is included with the detector.
Data logging: A standard feature of the GasAlert range of detectors, all stored data can be retrieved and stored on a PC via the Fleet Manager II software.
The backlit LCD screen constantly displays all gas levels, so you can check out the atmosphere even in dark confined spaces.
Auto calibration and self-testing keep the unit running and simplify maintenance requirements.
International operation is available, with English, French, German, Spanish and Portuguese languages built right in.
