3M Breathe Easy Powered Air Purifying Respirators (PAPRs) provide a comfortable, efficient means of getting purified air to the breathing zone of the worker. A wide range filter/headgear combinations are available. We have listed a few of the more popular assemblies, along with their component parts, to illustrate how a system comes together.

The Breathe Easy turbo motor blower unit draws ambient air through a set of 3 filters or cartridges, and supplies that air through a breathing tube to a hood or mask. The result is filtered air without having to expend the effort of pulling the air on lungpower alone. A rechargeable NiMH battery provides about 8 hours performance on a single charge. Additionally, the smooth flow of air makes for a more comfortable and less tiring worker environment.
