Stewart R. Browne Bond-Rite Clamp

The Bond-Rite Clamp from Stewart R. Browne is a battery powered, self-testing static ground clamp and bonding lead. A 9-volt Lithium Manganese battery powers the intrinsically safe monitoring electronics and green flashing LED. The patented Bond-Rite system provides a visual confirmation of proper grounding or bonding, without the need for costly field installation wiring.

Connection to a verified quality ground is by means of a 16 ft. Hytrel coiled cable and connection box with quick release connector (allows replacement of the cable). With its dual core design, the system verifies positive connection onto the object to be grounded, and also checks the complete loop back to the grounding point. Confirmation is provided by the continuous flashing LED light.

Having the electronics in the clamp makes checking a snap, but may prove a problem if the clamp becomes damaged or covered with paint, for instance. In that case, please see also the Bond-Rite Remote system.
