Bilsom Thunder T3 Earmuff Video Transcript

Hi this is Rick Pedley and welcome back to PK Safety Supply.

Today we're going to be looking at the Bilsom Thunder T3 Earmuffs. Very popular. Very comfortable. Sold quite a few of 'em.

The Thunder comes in a box with instructions, part numbers, etc. The Thunder has a plastic headband -- this is different than some of the others we sell, but it makes the earmuffs dielectric, and that means that there are no metal parts, which depending upon your application can be a good thing.

They have a relatively large cup, soft foam ear cushions with foam inside. This muff is rated with an NRR of 30, but the number isn't important except insofar as you compare it to other muffs. Other muffs are all tested the same way with the same standards. So you can say that if one is rated 30 and one is rated 33, the 33 is going to in theory reduce sound more.

I will say that his plastic style has a couple of things that I don't like quite as much. They seem to have a bit more pressure than some others. We sell the Bilsom L3 which puts a little bit less pressure on the head, which is pretty important. The plastic has a different feel to it than the steel. But the larger cup here is going to give you better protection against lower frequency sounds, and because of the plastic they are quite light. It's definitely popular and they sell well.

I guess that's basically that! Thank you very much!
