Hi, this is Rick Pedley, welcome back to PK Safety Supply. Today we’re going to be looking at the Thunder T3 earmuff and its hygiene kit. The hygiene kit is a fairly popular product and something I really like to let people know about. For about half the cost of a new pair of muffs we can replace the cushions. So, let’s get this out of the way here and so what we’ve got, it comes in a baggie here, and what you’re gonna get are two cushions, this is the part that touches your head, and two foam inserts, this is the part that goes inside the muff.

So when we take these muffs, it’s a kind of a stiff plastic here, and there’s some little catches on here that, so all we gotta do is pull this, the thing comes out, so this is, in theory, it’s old, or it’s worn out, that sort of thing, and then we’ve got the foam that goes inside the thing, so these are the old ones, and then we’re gonna take new ones, and shove them inside. So now we’ve got new foam, and we’re gonna take the cushion, and it just kinda holds under these catches real easy, it doesn’t take but a second, and now the muff is like new, unless you’ve, you know, something’s gotten broken on the rest of the muff, you’ve got, you now, fresh plastic against your head, you’ve got fresh foam inside, so you know, if it’s gotten sweaty or dirty, or one thing or another, and it’s almost like having a new pair of muffs for about half the cost, you know how it is with parts, so there you go, pretty easy, pretty quick, and not terribly expensive.
