Hi, this is Rick Pedley and welcome back to PK Safety Supply.

Today we'll be looking at the Bilsom L3 Leightening earmuff and its hygiene kit.

The hygiene kit is quite popular and I really like to let people know about them. What you get in a hygiene kit is two cushions and two foam pieces. These absorb and deaden sound.

Pretty easy to take care of on this thing. We're going to take the old earmuff and we're just going to pull this out a bit. This cushion comes out pretty easily. Then inside you have this foam. Now let's say you've had these muffs for a while and the cushions are becoming a little cracked or a little dirty, or maybe another employee was using the muffs and you now want them to be fresh.

So we're going to take the foam that comes in the kit, shove it inside -- couldn't be easier. Then take these little tabs and snug them under the tabs… and then in they go! Now you've got a practically new pair of muffs. As long as we haven't had something happen to the headband, you can keep doing this.

Now the muffs are virtually like new. They're fresh against your skin and fresh inside as well. They cost about half the price of new earmuffs -- somewhere in the area of 20 dollars, somewhere in the area of 10. It's a very inexpensive way to get an essentially brand new pair of earmuffs.
