Hi this is Rick Pedley and welcome to PK Safety Supply.
Today we're going to be looking at the Ansell HyFlex line of gloves, which are very popular with our customers. And we're just going to give a kind of overview. There'll be individual videos on each of the item pages, which will go into more depth about each individual glove.
Our most popular gloves in the Ansell line -- number one -- is the 11-800. It's a white liner with a foam nitrile palm. It's very popular, very durable. The 11-500 is the second most popular. That's kevlar with once again, a foam nitrile. In this case, it's black. Kelvar's going to give you a bit of cut resistance, although this is a fairly lightweight liner.. with the nitrile foam, giving you excellent grip, even in oily situations.
So just to go through real quick.. the 11-500 you'll see is lightweight, kind of a grippy black foam nitrile. Nitrile's resistant to oil, so it's going to give you good grip, even if the parts are a little oily that you're picking up. And the kevlar, because it's relatively thin is not going to give you big cut resistance, but if things you come across should come over the back of your hand, it's not going to cut you. The other one on the list is the 11-501. Now the 11-501 is kevlar, but a much heavier gauge. This is their so-called "Intercept technology." DuPont and Ansell developed it jointly. And then they've taken their foam nitrile and put it on. In this case, it's blue in color. It's going to give you excellent grip in oily situations, along with greatly increased cut resistance with this heavier liner. Very popular.
The 11-600 is a polyurethane on nylon. So this nylon liner is thin, stretchy… going to fit in your hand really snuggly. And this polyurethane on the palm -- once again, polyurethane is very abrasion resistant. It's resistant to most chemicals, but what's kind of real interesting is that they can make a very thin coating. So this glove is going to be almost like wearing no glove at all The gray color with the black on the liner is not going to show the dirt real well, so you're going to be able to use this for quite some time.
The 11-800, certainly their most popular one, this has a knit liner -- just like a nylon material, but it's got that gray foam nitrile. So when you're picking up parts, oily parts or whatever, it's going to give you that grip -- that little bit of softness in that will ensure that when you have something in your hands, it's going to stay there. White does show the dirt a little bit, but it's a pretty inexpensive glove and it has turned out to be their most popular glove. We certainly sell a lot of these.
The next one is the 11-801. Now this is identical to the 11-800. Gray, kind of speckled back, hides the dirt really well. It's got a black foam nitrile liner on it which will, once again, give you the grip in the oily situations, but it's really going to hide the dirt. This is one that surprises me. It hasn't really taken over. It's about the same price. A really excellent glove.
The next one on the list is the 11-900. Now this is a nylon knit liner with a blue traditionally dipped nitrile -- so once again, you have the oil resistance, but not that foam technology. But the nitrile on this will give you more abrasion resistance because it's more dense. That means it's typically going to last quite a bit longer.
The last one on the list here is the 11-920. This is a blue nylon-blended knit liner with a multilayer grip. This one's really rough. They say it channels away the oil. It's got some nitrile in it. It's very chemically resistant, very rough. This one's become quite popular -- especially if you're having to grip things that are very slippery.
As I say, each of these will be looked at individually on the item pages, and I advise you to take a look at that. Thanks a lot!
