The ToxiRAE II Single-Gas Ammonia detector is a small, lightweight device that provides continuous readout of gas levels, can be turned on and off (unlike disposable gas detectors) and provides loud, clear warning if gas concentrations become dangerous.
Ammonia is a gas that is irritable to the nose, throat and respiratory organs when inhaled even in small concentrations. The ToxiRAE II single-gas Ammonia monitor provides Short Term Exposure Limits (STEL) as well as the Time Weighted Average (TWA) exposure information, and is a powerful PPE device for industrial work sites.
Typically the nose can smell Ammonia at about 5PPM. The irritability starts shortly after; At about 200ppm you will notice irritability in the mucous membranes and the eyes; At about 1000 ppm your breathing will be labored and vision can be impaired. Fatality will occur at about 2500 ppm. Protect your worker with the ToxiRAE II Ammonia gas detector.
