Allegro 9832 Airline Respirator Pump

The Allegro 9832 Ambient Air Pump, Style number A-1500-TE, is a workhorse that features a 1.5HP electric motor. Engineered to provide clean breathing air for up to 3 tight-fitting half or full face airline respirators. If you prefer to use hoods, this pump will handle 2. Simply place the pump in an area of clean air, attach the hoses and masks/hoods and get to work.

The electric motor is the Totally Enclosed type. This means resistance to dust, debris and some moisture. Not only that, this motor is rated for continuous duty. The rotary vane pump has no internal lubrication, eliminating the need for expensive carbon monoxide monitors. With both the pump and motor not having any need for lubrication, the cost and hassle of ownership is quite low. If the AABA is used in an are of clean air, even the filters should last quite a while.

The plumbing on this unit is a combination of brass and galvanized components, with OBAC quick-connect couplings. Allegro hoses and masks/hoods use this same fitting. This style of coupler has lower than usual resistance to airflow, and is unusual enough that you won't likely confuse a shop air fitting with the breathing air fitting.
