DBI 8518001 12-29 Inch Adjustable Offset Upper Mast

This one-piece variable offset davit arm is designed for use as part of the Advanced line of Confined Space Retrieval devices. This davit arm sits on top of an DBI Advanced Lower Mast, which in turn is placed in either a DBI Advanced 5-Piece Base Assembly or a permanently mounted sleeve.

The 8518001 is adjustable for both reach and height. The red adjuster nut changes the angle of the arm, while detent pins allow the arm itself to be lengthened. This wide range of adjustment is quite different from the experience you may have had using a traditional Confined Space Tripod.

The 8518001 is a standard component on the DBI 8518000 Advanced 5-Piece Hoist System. Most of our customers order the complete 5-piece kit, but you can see how an assembly specific to your application can be built. We are happy to offer help with this. Please call or e-mail us for assistance.

Winches or SRL’s may be attached on the front or back , as well as being hung from the anchor loop at the end of the davit arm, which has a 5000lb capacity rating. A quick release pin enables the user to easily collapse it for transport. Includes a single winch mount bracket.
