| These PAPRs (Powered Air Purifying Respirators) are motorized systems that use a filter to clean ambient air before it is delivered to the breathing zone of the user. A PAPR system typically includes a blower, battery, headpiece/mask and a breathing tube. The primary benefits of using a PAPR are fit testing and comfort. Fit testing, because if you use one of the loose fitting types of hoods, there is no testing required. Comfort, because the hard work of pulling the air through a filter or cartridge is being done for you by the motor/blower assembly. This results in a cool flow of air, rather than a red face from huffing and puffing. | |||
