3M Lead Dust Respirator

This respirator package combines the 3M 6000 series halfmask respirator with a pair of 3M 7093 P100 filters to help protect against lead dust. This combination is NIOSH approved for environments containing certain oil and non-oil based particles and when properly fitted can be used in a variety of applications including welding, brazing, torch cutting, metal pouring, soldering, and exposure to lead, asbestos, cadmium, arsenic, and MDA for concentrations up to 10 times the Permissible Exposure Limit.

This respirator package is almost identical to our 3M Asbestos & Lead Dust Respirator. The only difference is the use of the 3M 7093 filters. Both masks can be used for the same applications. It is a matter of personal preference.

When comparing the two mask combinations, people that prefer this combination like the fact that the filter media is contained in a hard plastic shell enabling it to be wiped off and keeping the trapped lead or asbestos dust particles out of reach. Of course, the plastic case adds a little weight.

Assembly includes:
1 each 3M 6000 half mask respirator (choose size)
1 pair 3M 7093 P100 (HEPA) filter

Filter attaches directly to the mask with 1/4 turn bayonet style connector (built-in).

Mask Sizing
The majority of our customers, 80% or more, use medium size. This has held true for many years and across all types of industries. In general, people with noticeably small or large faces use those sizes. That is, a woman with a petite build and facial features would use small. Usually men with notably large faces, or prominent noses use the large. The rest of us use medium. Respirator Fit testing is the only sure way to tell.
