The 3M 7500 series half mask respirator facepiece is made of soft silicone so it conforms to your face better and debris or paint isn't as likely to stick to its slippery exterior. This is 3M's best half mask and well worth the price if you are going to be wearing a respirator for long periods of time or using it for multiple projects. The only thing more protective than this mask is a full face respirator.

Uses 6000 series cartridges and filters for easy compatibility. 3M Cartridges and filters must be ordered separately.

If you are removing lead paint or asbestos, make sure to add a pair of 3M 2091 P100 (HEPA) Filters or 3M 7093 P100 Filters.

Great except head straps!

I was looking for a good sealing, comfortable, well made product.

Pros:

The silicone is soft and comfortable on my face. It seems to seal well also.

Cons:

The head straps seem very cheep. I do not expect them to last long. This is too bad as I want things that i buy to last a very long time.

I would recommend this item to a friend.

I use it while shooting indoors. Works great, after a few minutes I forget that I'm even wearing a mask.The filtration is terrific. Great peace of mind while working in environments that could be harmful.

Comfortable

I use this with the lead filters at an indoor shooting range. I like to wear a baseball cap when shooting to keep the overhead lights out of my eyes and the headgear for this mask is perfect over the top of the cap. Doesn't interfere with ear or eye protection either.The material is very soft and the seal is very tight, with no uncomfortable pressure points. You could probably wear this for hours. I use a regular rubber-type mask occasionally at work and the difference in comfort is very real.Definitely worth the extra cost.

I am using respirator in tight crawl space. only problem I have is that the goggles I bought with it fog up to point I can't see. Ended up buying a full face respirator

We ordered the respirator and cartridges to use while removing non-friable asbestos siding. [...] The softer material made them fit well, which was important because we wore them for most of two days. Checked out well with asbestos removal inspector.

My wife loves this mask

I own a 100 year old house and wear this mask almost every weekend while working on it. It is the most comfortable 3M mask we sell and the only mask my wife will wear. In fact, she has used it to demo our living room while I was on a business trip, stripped lead paint from our son's room, and used it outside while shoveling aggregate for a new patio. While it costs a little bit more than the 3M 6200, I find its silicon face piece is much more comfortable. If you are going to use a half mask more than once, the price is easily justified.
